In my parents Bohemian restaurant there is a painting of some sort of Bohemian celebration.
I was told it is a copy of a painting in the Czech museum in Chicago which I believe is gone now.

Looking for information on the attached picture of the Benes Grocery. Frank and Anna (Tyc) Benes, sons - Konrad, Aldrich, daughter Anniky and Bessie. If anyone has any info would appreciate. Would like to pinpoint the location - is it still there under another name? Frank and Anna moved to Grand Haven Michigan on board the ship, Alabama with their model T Ford. They purchased a farm on the Grand River about 40 acres and often sent food back to Chicago during the depression. Frank formed the Czech Club in Grand Haven in his barn - they brought in players from Chicago - he was a free thinker and Anna Catholic; also looking for a picture of my grandmothers quilt that was on display at the Lincoln Park Museum. It was in the 1933 Chicago World's Fair for quilts - history of Chicago and ethic areas of Slavics.
