Welcome to the web page of
The Czech & Slovak American
Genealogy Society of Illinois.
We are an exciting genealogy group
for those interested in
Central/Eastern European and
Chicago area genealogy.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION! The CSAGSI website is undergoing major changes over the next few months. From updating content, to reorganization, we are out to create the best site possible for our visitors. During this time, our "Member's only" area will be unavailable. We thank you for your patience.

We are CSAGSI, the Czech & Slovak American Genealogy Society of Illinois

CSAGSI was formed because people like yourself who have roots in Bohemia, Moravia, Slovakia, Silesia, or Ruthenia felt a need to develop, preserve and share genealogical, historical, and cultural knowledge of our ancestors.

If you live in or have ancestors who have passed through, the Chicago area, you certainly want to be a member of this group.

We hope that you find the information on our homepage useful, and that if you are not yet a member, you will consider joining us to enjoy all the benefits including our quarterly bulletin, KORENY (Roots).
