The Rev. John J. Spitkovsky, District of the First Catholic Slovak Union (Jednota) is sponsoring a Slovak Christmas Tree as part of the "Christmas Around the World" exhibit at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. The exhibit features Christmas trees from 45 nations, and runs from Nov. 16, 2001 through Jan. 6, 2002. The museum located at 57th Street and S. Lake Shore Drive, is open every day, with free admission on Thursdays. For museum hours, call (773) 684-1414. Bring your family and friends to see the beautiful ethnic trees!

Bohemian National Cemetery no longer gives out information over the phone.
You need to send a request with a SASE. There is no charge for the first
three names but after that there is a $5 charge per name.

The Czech Archives...
For those of you who wish to study in the Czech archives,
the latest hours are: State central archive (tr Milady Horakove 133),
9-12; 1-3:30 except Friday which it's 9-2:00.
State regional archive in Prague (Horska ul.) is closed to researchers on
Mondays and Fridays, open TWTh 9-3:30 (Th till 6:00 P.M.).
Archive of the capital city of Prague is open MTWTh about the same hours,
but an hour break for lunch.
