CSAGSI January, 1998 Meeting

On January 31st, a capacity crowd joined us for a panel discussion on travel to the old country led by CSAGSI President Joe Hartzel and members Charlie and Barbara Vlk, Barbara Rogus, Rose Marie Kenny and others.

The CSAGSI January 31, 1998 meeting at the Riverside, Ill., township hall was attended by 160 members and guests and featured an interesting travel panel discussion by members, President Joe Hartzel, Rosemarie Kral Kenny, Barbara and Charlie Vlk, Barbara and Robin Rogus. Each shared some special experiences of their recent trips, plus tips on information on packing and what to take on trips to central Europe. The travelers experiences ranged from group tours to independent Euro Rail travels.

All seemed to share the same very emotional experiences that came with connecting with ancestral villages and distant relatives. A busy hospitality committee of Mary Ellen Panoch Zuro, Mary Sherry, Gladys Wheeler, Joan Miller, Frances Michael, Mary Ann Brock, and Chris Visconti staffed either the registration table or the lovely refreshment table.
